Manikin Voluntarily Painted
This tasty-looking pup was displayed in the Viaduct Harbour as part of Auckland’s Puppy Dog Trail, which featured over 30 dog statues – ex-donation boxes – painted by kiwi artists. Along with the other dogs, ‘Chocolate Lab’ then went up for auction to raise funds for Blind Low Vision NZ’s new guide dog kennel. Chocolate Lab sold for $5,000, and altogether the dogs raised $44,650 at the Paws for Purpose Auction in March 2023.
Blind Low Vision New Zealand is the only organisation who train and breed guide dogs for kiwis with vision loss.
MVP is asking the New Zealand public to help BLVNZ raise $10M to build a new kennel for our guide dogs in training.
